REPUBLIC EDITORIAL PARTNERS CALLAWAY, GIPSON & JAMES LAUNCH DESIGN & VFX FOCUSED SISTER STUDIO, INFINITE FICTION
VETERAN VISUAL EFFECTS & ANIMATION PRODUCER JOEY CADE TAPPED TO LEAD INFINITE FICTION AS EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
(December 07, 2016 – Dallas, Texas) – Republic Editorial is thrilled to announce the launch of design and visual effects focused sister studio, Infinite Fiction, and the hiring of industry veteran, Joey Cade, as Executive Producer. Infinite Fiction will be managed by Republic partners Carrie Callaway, Chris Gipson and Keith James, and focus on high-end, narrative-driven motion design and visual effects work for all platforms including virtual reality. The decision to make the strategic expansion comes after three successful years of growth for Republic Editorial which launched in 2013 and has since experienced continuing demand to expand its “premium quality” creative to clients through design and visual effects.
Although it shares management with Republic Editorial, Infinite Fiction is a stand-alone creative shop, and will service agencies, outside post houses and entertainment studios. Infinite Fiction is housed separately, but located just steps away from Republic Editorial’s uptown Dallas headquarters. It adds nearly an additional 2,000 square feet of creative space to Republic’s recently renovated 8,000 square feet and is already home to a growing team of motion designers, visual effects artists, CG generalists and producers.
An innovative producer with a track record of curating successful teams, Cade began her career in live-action production working with Hungry Man, Miramax, and NBC. She gained expertise in visual effects and animation at Reel FX which grew from a 30-person boutique to an over 300-person studio with several thriving divisions during her tenure. As its first entertainment division Executive Producer, Cade won business with Sony TV, Universal, A&E Networks and ABC Family and produced Reel FX’s first theatrical VFX project for Disney. She broadened her entrepreneurial skill set by launching and managing a web-based business, and gained branding, marketing and advertising experience within small independent agencies, including Tractorbeam. In her new role, Cade will focus on developing Infinite Fiction’s sales and marketing strategy, growing its already burgeoning client roster, and expanding the creative team and its capabilities.
“We are extremely excited to have Joey at the helm of Infinite Fiction” notes Keith James. "She has an extensive depth of knowledge in this industry, has collaborated with numerous award-winning creatives and brands, and knows what it takes to grow a business. We look forward to the impact she will have with Infinite Fiction and, of course are incredibly happy to have her as part of the Republic Editorial family.”
“I am thrilled to join the Republic Editorial team and officially launch Infinite Fiction,” says Cade. "Republic has an incredible reputation and strong existing creative post business with respected national and international clients. Infinite Fiction expands the range of creative solutions we can offer our existing clients – and the ability to forge new relationships with clients whose needs are specific to design and visual effects, as well as those who are entering and exploring the VR space.”
Infinite Fiction believes that the key factor in work that is memorable and effective is a strong narrative, paired with innovative creative and tasteful design that begins in concept development and ends with an incredible cut and top agencies are taking note. At launch, Infinite Fiction has already hit the ground running with numerous projects in its pipeline including design-driven content pieces for TM Advertising, Dieste, and Tracy Locke.
“There are infinite ways to approach any creative project,” continues Cade. “In a highly competitive industry, we want to challenge ourselves, and our clients to walk away from every job with something that we (or they) have never seen or done before.”
